Hi friends!

Welcome to my blog! I am so excited and honored that you are taking a moment out of your day to learn a little bit about me and this crazy journey that I have the opportunity to experience!

My name is Elena De La Paz and I just finished the World Race Gap Year this May. I graduated from Boulder High School in Boulder, CO in May 2018. I was born and raised in Boulder and it is truly one of my favorite places. I love the sunshine and hiking trails and all the adventure Colorado has to offer.

My favorite things to do are hike, camp, hammock, tube, etc. Pretty much anything that involves going and exploring and being outside in our Creator’s creation. Boulder is such a beautiful place and it is remarkable to have been able to call it home for so much of my life. Colorado is a place where I am constantly reminded of the Lord's goodness and beauty.

I love love love to travel. I am amazed at how much you learn and grow by exploring new places. I am intrigued by the many different lifestyles, beliefs, ideals, hobbies, etc. that we all have based on our cultures and geographical locations. The Race has taught me so much about missions and travel which has been incredible since I believe the Lord is calling me to overseas missions, at least for a season of my life.

On my own Race, I got to live in:

Battambang, Cambodia

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Harbu Chulule, Ethiopia

Granada, Nicaragua

San José, Costa Rica

I am so excited and honored to be given the opportunity to do the Race again for 3 months with another gap year squad starting in September 2019. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned about God, missions, travel, life, love and so much more throughout the World Race. My life has been changed this last year because of this journey the Lord has taken me on!

However you happened to stumble upon my blog, know that I am so happy you are here. It truly means a lot that you are taking a moment of your day to read about my own walk with the Father and the ways in which I see Him working in the people around me.

Please feel free to reach out with any comments/questions whether we talk everyday or have never before -- I would love to be able to share about the World Race and this new and exciting season of life with you!

-Elena
